Make your own lunch list
Pick 2–12 restaurants and get a short link where your group sees their menus of the day on a phone. No account needed.
Nearby restaurants’ lunches on the office screen – with no upkeep
A lunch list gathers the day’s lunches of the restaurants you pick in one place and keeps them up to date for you. One link works on the info TV, on phones, as a poster and on the intranet.
- Free
- No sign-up
- 2–12 restaurants
- Updates itself
- In Finnish, English and Swedish
Info TV
The whole lunch at a glance – even with twelve restaurants
The screen shows up to four restaurants at a time, so every one of them fits its whole lunch on screen. If you picked more, the pages turn by themselves at the interval you choose.
- One at a time, side by side or both – on a landscape or portrait screen
- After 2 pm the screen already shows tomorrow’s lunch, at the weekend Monday’s
- Copes with outages: the latest menus stay on screen
Phone and voting
The same list in everyone’s pocket – and the lunch spot decided in a minute
The screen’s QR code or the link opens the list on a phone. With voting switched on, the group picks the day’s lunch spot on their phones and the result shows right on the TV.
- No app and no sign-in
- One vote per phone, the votes reset at midnight
Poster
The week’s lunches for the notice board
Print the whole week’s lunches (Monday to Friday) on a single A4 sheet straight from the browser. The poster’s QR code opens the same list on a phone.
Embed and RSS
Lunches on the intranet front page
Copy the ready-made iframe code and paste it into your intranet or your own website – the day’s lunches show up where your colleagues already are. The RSS feed suits Slack’s RSS app, for example.
Frequently asked questions
- Does a lunch list cost anything?
- No. Making and using a lunch list is free, and it needs no account or sign-in.
- How many restaurants fit on a list?
- A list takes 2–12 restaurants from any town. The info TV shows up to four restaurants at a time so that each one’s whole lunch is visible; the rest turn on their own pages.
- Does the list update itself?
- Yes. The screen fetches the restaurants’ menus every five minutes, and after 2 pm it already shows tomorrow’s lunch. At the weekend it shows Monday’s list.
- Does the list work without an internet connection?
- The info TV keeps the last menus it fetched on screen if the connection drops, and updates them as soon as it is back. The screen also reloads itself every night.
- Can I change the list later?
- A link is final, so that the same link always works the same way on every screen. If you want other restaurants or settings, make a new link – it takes seconds.
- How long does a link stay valid?
- A link works for as long as it is used. If it is not opened for 12 months, it expires.
- Does my list show up in search engines?
- No. The lists you make do not show up in search engines or in any public directory; only the people you share the link with can see them.
- Where can I put the list?
- On the info TV of the office or the coffee room, on everyone’s phone with a QR code or a link, on the notice board as an A4 poster, on the intranet as an embed (iframe) and in an RSS reader or, for example, Slack’s RSS app.
